Agresja, przemoc, wulgarny język, porno.
The following pictures are copies of sections of the main page of the portal gazeta.pl, the internet site of the leading Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza between 23 January and 25 January 2009. Underlined in red are the titles referring to crime, violence, porn and vulgar language. Although Wyborcza lost some of the influence from its peak days few years ago, it is still the most influential newspaper in the country.
Gazeta Wyborcza is one of ubloids - the dominant form of journalism in Poland today. The prefix 'ub' stands for ubekistan. Ubloids represents the views and interests of ubekistan - former communist party apparatchiks, communist secret security forces and their collaborators - beneficiaries of the communist regime.
The main goal of ubloids is not to inform but to manipulate and brainwash. Mixing typical tabloid journalism with extremely intensive political brainwashing is the everyday routine in the offices of Gazeta Wyborcza across Poland.
